THE INTEGRATION OF ALL KNOWLEDGE

as presented by MBM

Outline of Introduction

  1. THE BLUEPRINT

Cosmic Order, World Order, Great Mind as the SOURCE, or fountain head of all knowledge.  Truth

What we mean by knowledge:

far more than the arts and sciences as known to man;

far more than the Cosmos “that sense knows” – that is not only more than the material worlds, but also more than the etheric worlds, which together comprise the “sensible” worlds, or the phenomenal worlds

comprehends also Esoteric Knowledge

     (a) of the phenomenal worlds not knowable to the senses

     (b) of the noumenal, or cosmic, worlds

The three great Divisions of Knowledge mapped by MBM

man-knowledge only a relatively small section

Wisdom-lore

Gnosis, or God-knowledge

Facts, related to earth, and to outer causes

Principles and laws, related to profounder causes

Mind in man as the bridge to the apprehension of profounder causes.

These more and more integrated, the further up they go.

Mind of earth separates (intellectual knowledge); sees the different fields as scattered

sees man also in fragments, not as a whole

Spinoza: feelings (and opinions) separate; mind harmonizes.  MBM demonstrates the truth of this observation.

  1. II. THE NEED FOR INTEGRATION

Sensing of this need as shown in college meetings of scholars, as at Harvard last fall – unsatisfactory conclusions of these meetings

lack of the integrating factors; because attacked from below up

these factors found in esoteric teachings

limitation of the means of integrating through man’s efforts:

he has only facts, mostly of the material worlds alone

knowledge relatively small, and in limited areas; not much yet even in the psychological fields

understanding, and beyond that, insight are necessary to integration, as a function of the human mind

Understanding and insight not possible without patterns derived from the Gnosis…perspective

III.  Indications given by MBM re the integration of ail knowledge.

The Seven operative life principles, raying through all the planes;

Especially the principle of Correspondence, linking the laws of life on all planes

The key to the harmonizing of the Great Four, covering all the fields of man’s effort and interest

“Man, know thyself”, as a direct way of acquiring knowledge of higher planes, beginning with the psychic

Work with the subconscious as a preliminary

Work with the deeper transliminal as the royal road

Wisdom-teachings as an aid to the integration, or rather, man’s acceptance of the integration, brought by teachers from above down

Symbolic language, as a key to higher knowledge, both objectively and subjectively.

Man’s knowledge constantly approaches wisdom-lore as that knowledge grows

Growth of stature the ultimate way to higher knowledge,

In fullness, drawing upon the Gnosis

Plato’s Ideas related to Gnosis – the essences behind all manifestation

These essences are the transcendental integrating factors.

CIRCLES OF HUMANITY

and

THE THREE CATEGORIES OF ALL KNOWLEDGE

  1. Recalling MBM’s chart of the Circles of Humanity, can you define simply in your own words the stages or conditions indicated as The Sleeping, The Waking, The Seeking?
  1. Is the movement The Sleeping to The Waking or from The Waking to The Seeking accomplished abruptly – that is, all at once – or is it gradual? Why?
  1. What do you understand to be the true objective of The Seeking?
  1. Recalling The Three Categories of All Knowledge, describe briefly the scope and value of Category I (Knowledge gained in earth by research and experiment) – what it does for man and what it does not do.Does it continue to have usefulness after Category II is discovered?
  1. How does the second Category of Knowledge differ from Category I

(a) in origin?

(b) in direction – what it leads to?

(c) in the way it is acquired?

  1. Explain how any one of the following narratives out of ancient wisdom lore has contributed to your understanding:

The “fall” in Genesis

The Story of Horus and the Black Pig

The Story of Odin and the Well of Mimir

The Hymn of the Robe of Glory

Theseus and the Minotaur

The Story of the Fisher King

  1. Category III – Knowledge which never comes down – is inaccessible to the monad in human stages of development. What value is there, then, in becoming aware of its existence?
